Our commitment

We carry out due diligence proportionate to the transaction before entering into a trade. This ordinarily includes:

• Understanding the commercial rationale of the trade and the route of the goods.
• Establishing that payment channels are legitimate and traceable through recognised banking routes.
• Declining transactions structured to obscure the origin of funds or the identity of the true buyer or seller.

Contract and inspection standards

We contract on recognised international trade terms and use independent third-party inspection to establish quality and quantity. Cargo is ordinarily surveyed at load and discharge by an independent inspection company, and the resulting certificates form part of the shipping documents.

Product quality and food safety

For agricultural and food-grade commodities, we require the origin, phytosanitary and health documentation applicable to the goods and the destination market, and we ship against agreed contractual specifications.

Responsible business conduct

We deal fairly with suppliers, buyers and service providers, we honour the confidentiality of commercial information entrusted to us, and we expect safe and lawful working practices throughout the chains we participate in.
